The entire Still Point team met at the Capital Cheescake Café in Takoma Park a few days ago. The focus of the meeting was to connect with each other, to discuss the growth of The Still Point and to celebrate the opening of our Clarksville location. We are a large group of practitioners, managers and front desk staff, so it’s rare that we are all together in one place. It was a nice opportunity to communicate with each other in a different space.
During the meeting each of us was invited to share our thoughts about the services we offer, the strengths of our practices and the ways we could support each other. We were asked to write down on a sheet of paper, four words which described some shared values. It was very interesting to see that, for such a large group, many of the same words kept coming up. Words like integrity, community, respect and compassion. Then we discussed how those words could relate to the special services we offer at our holistic spa, and also what we can accomplish as a group. It was a great exercise and it helped us to see the big picture; The Still point as a community. Over coffee and yummy snacks we discovered that there is much to celebrate as each of us works independently to support the entire group, we all benefit.
We really do have a special group of like-minded people working together to provide a range of eco-friendly health, beauty and wellness services. No wonder we get such great feedback from our clients!
