A Bit Coco-Nutty!

Maybe it’s my longing to relax on a tropical island, but I love coconut. Love it!! Lately I have been using coconut oil for everything that I possibly can. It’s one of those magic ingredients that helps with just about everything skin-related. Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer for every skin type. Don’t be nervous if you have oily skin. The molecules are the perfect size to be absorbed and to help fight bacteria. Also, it helps to reduce pore size, which in turn reduces excess oil production. It also helps hydrate very dehydrated skin because it does not oxidize at a fast rate– allowing the body to absorb it and bind to skin cells.

Since everyone is gearing up to be bathing suit ready, waxing is a must before heading to the pool. I have recently been using coconut oil to reduce inflammation. It is excellent to use after waxing because it reduces redness instantly. It soothes irritation and breaks down any excess wax that may be on the skin. But don’t stop there. Coconut oil also protects your skin from free radicals that cause aging. Mix a little with your sunscreen to block the radiation. It also strengthens the cells and helps with the reversal of damage. While you are at it, put it in your hair. The sun can really be brutal to our locks this time of year. Apply coconut oil to your scalp and deeply massage before using Max Green Alchemy Scalp Rescue Shampoo– a sort of pre-conditioning treatment if you will.

And who doesn’t want glowing skin that comes from the inside out? Eating coconut oil has great benefits for the skin as well. It helps to reduce eczema and hydrates skin cells from the onset of development.

I really could go on and on about coconut oil, but I’ll stop there. Oh wait, one more thing. It smells great too!!! Try it for yourself. You’ll see why I have gone nuts over coconuts!!!
