“The world will be saved by the western woman.” –Dalai Llama
Women are powerful. They have the ability to birth life. Many take care of children, hold down jobs and manage households daily. Women’s choices affect the next generation—they affect the state of the world.
As one blogger emphasizes, “Imagine the impact if all women fed their families healthy meals. Would we be having health care discussions? Would there be an obesity problem? Would depression or illness or ADD be a problem?”
Western women, in particular, have the ability to own their power. They have political and social freedoms that women in many other countries do not have—voting, freedom of speech, equal rights, the ability to leave an abuser and to seek outside help without persecution.
Yes, men also affect positive change–and hats off to them.
But, the message to women is this: remember who you truly are, respect it, and act upon your power.
