I went to the pool today with my niece and had the best time. I almost didn’t go because I had some tension in my neck and shoulders and just wanted to stay in and not do anything, but since I told her I would go, I had to stick to my word.
I’m so glad I went, because it was a tension reliever. I laughed, danced, slid down the winding slide and played like I was a kid again. As I observed the children splashing around and playing, it was such a joy to see how free spirited and carefree they are. I stayed in the moment and appreciated the time I spent splashing and playing too.
I played like I was a child again and it felt great. The next time you want to reduce a little tension, get out and do something fun like you did when you where a kid.
Be Well!
